What are notifications?

Notifications are like little messages in a bottle that TimeChimp sends to either you or your employees. They contain important information about your work, like when your hours have been approved or when they've gone missing.

Notifications for your employees

You can set up two different notifications for your employees. It's like giving them a gentle nudge when they forget to clock in or when they're not meeting their contract hours. To do this, navigate to HRM β†’ edit employee β†’ Notifications.

Here you can enable the following notifications:

  • Not submitted: Your employees will receive an email on Monday morning if they've forgotten to submit their hours.

  • Not meeting contract hours: Your employees will get an email on Monday morning if they haven't met their agreed contract hours.

Personal notifications

You can also set up notifications for yourself. It's like having your own personal secretary who tells you when your hours have been approved or rejected. To do this, click on your avatar in the top right corner and navigate to your profile settings.

Then click on the notifications tab, and you'll see the following options:

  • Registrations have been submitted for approval: You'll receive an email when you've submitted your hours for approval.

  • Registrations have been approved: You'll receive an email when your hours have been approved.

  • Registrations have been rejected: You'll receive an email when your hours have been rejected.

These email notifications only go to yourself. Your employees will have to set these up themselves.
