In this article, we cover how TimeChimp's mobile app works, how to track an hour, how to submit your tracked entries, and where you can review your overtime and leave balances.

In short, where do I start?
First, make sure you have an account with TimeChimp and that the mobile app is on your phone. The app can be found in Android's Play Store and Apple's App Store. After installing it, you need to log in with the same email address and password you use for TimeChimp in your browser.
Tracking time
Time to track some time. Make sure you are on the "hours" tab at the top and click the "+" button at the bottom right. Now you can choose between "timer" or "registration." For regular hour registration, click on "registration." Then you have to choose whether you want to enter the total duration of the worked hours or the start and end time. Time is money, so be sure to enter the correct time.
Now you can select a customer and a project. If you select a project right away, the customer is also selected automatically. Very convenient. Add an activity and possibly a label and description. Then click on "save", and voilà, the registration appears on your screen. It looks like magic!
Tracking expenses & trips
Tracking expenses and mileage are basically the same as tracking hours. Click on "expenses" or "mileage" at the top of the screen to go to one of those two modules and click the round button again at the bottom right. Depending on what you have chosen, you will need to fill in various details here, just like hours. Tapping "save" will add the registration.
Submitting time, expenses and mileage
You want to offer those hard-worked hours, of course. This can be done very easily in 2 different ways. You can tap the time entry (but also expenses and mileage entry) to open a detailed view. At the bottom of the screen is the "offer" button. A tap on this button will offer the selected entry.
Another option is bulk submitting. At the bottom of your screen, go to approval and click on the purple "offer hours" button. Then select the hours you want to offer and press the green "offer" button. Now you just wait for your manager to approve them.
Check your overtime and leave balances
If there is anything we all long for, it is holiday or using those overtime hours for leisure. For both, though, we need to know where to find that information. At the bottom of the mobile app, tap "Dashboard" and scroll to the "Overview" widget. Here you can see your overtime, sick and leave.
