Read here how the mobile app works, from registration to approval.
The TimeChimp mobile app allows you to easily track your registrations anywhere and gives you direct insight into your most important data. In this article, we explain how to install the app, log in and perform your first registrations.
Installation and logging in
Before you can start, you need to download the TimeChimp app on your smartphone. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
Download: Search for 'TimeChimp' in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
Log in: Use the same email address and password for the mobile app as you use for the web version of TimeChimp.
System requirements: To ensure optimal performance, you need at least Android version 9 or iOS version 15.1.
Tracking registrations
Within the mobile app, you can record your daily work in various ways.
Register hours: Go to the hours overview and click on the '+' to create a new registration. Select the correct customer, project, and task. You can enter hours manually or use the timer.
Expenses: Have you incurred costs for a project? Register these as an expense. You can directly upload a photo of your receipt and select the correct product.
Mileage: To track your kilometers, use the mileage module. Enter your departure and arrival location, after which the distance is automatically calculated.
Note: You may only need to fill in the customer, project, or task. This is an organization-wide setting and depends on what has been configured within your organization.
Submitting registrations
Approval is an organization-wide setting. If you do not see the 'submit' button, your hours do not need to be approved. After you have registered your hours, expenses, or mileage, they must be approved by an administrator or manager. To do this, you must first submit them.
Submit individually: Open a specific registration and click the 'Submit' button at the bottom.
Submit in bulk: Go to the overview of the approval module in the menu at the bottom of the app. Here you can select all lines at once and submit them in one go. After submitting, the status changes to 'pending approval'.
Dashboard and Insights
In the app, you always have insight into your current status via your personal dashboard.
View balances: Directly view your current status regarding overtime, leave, and absence.
Do you have any questions about using the mobile app? Please contact the administrator of your organization.
