What is the audit log?
The audit log gives you a complete overview of all changes made within your TimeChimp environment. Think of creating, editing, or deleting time entries, projects, customers, employees, invoices, and more. This way you always have insight into who performed which action and when.
Where do I find the audit log?
You can find the audit log via Settings (gear icon in the top right) > Audit log.
Only employees with the Admin role, or a custom role with access to the audit log, can view this page.
What do I see in the audit log?
The audit log displays the following information per row:
Time β The exact date and time the change was made
Email β The email address of the employee who made the change.
Description β A description of the change, including tags that indicate the object type (e.g. Project, User, Invoice) and the action type (e.g. Added, Modified, Deleted).
