Importing holidays
First, let's import the holidays. Luckily, you don't have to enter them manually because TimeChimp imports them for you. Go to the manage section by clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner, and then click on "holidays" in the menu on the left.
Here, you can choose the country from which you want to import holidays and the current year. Select the country and the current year, then click on "set." The appropriate holidays will now appear in the list below.
Modifying holidays
There may be a holiday that you don't celebrate and therefore don't want in TimeChimp. Or you may want to "block" a holiday so that your employees cannot log hours on that day. To do this, click on the pencil icon next to the respective holiday.
Here, you can modify the following settings:
Setting | Description |
Name | The name of the holiday |
Date | The date of the holiday |
Description | The description of the holiday |
Block | Blocks employees from registering hours |
Adding custom holidays
It's fun to celebrate that your company has become another year older. You can also create a holiday for this purpose. Scroll all the way down, and you'll find the "new holiday" button. Here, you can add your own holiday with the settings you prefer.
