How to easily integrate Unit4 with TimeChimp and effortlessly import customers and create invoices/sales entries.

Over Unit4

Unit4 Multivers is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software solution developed by Unit4, designed to streamline business processes. It offers modules for financial management, project management, inventory management, sales, and purchasing, as well as customer relationship management (CRM).

With features such as accounting, budgeting, invoicing, project tracking, inventory control, and CRM tools, Unit4 Multivers helps businesses improve efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and enhance customer relationships.

Its user-friendly interface and customization options make it suitable for a wide range of industries and business sizes, empowering organizations to manage their finances, operations, and resources effectively in a single integrated platform.

Activating the Integration

To connect Unit4 Multivers with TimeChimp, go to Settings (gear icon) in the main menu -> App Center and click on the Unit4 Multivers app. You can activate it for free.

Upon activation, you will be redirected to Unit4 Multivers to enter your login credentials and grant TimeChimp access.

Once you have successfully completed this step, you will be redirected to the Unit4 Multivers settings page in TimeChimp (Settings -> Unit4 Multivers). Fill in all the settings as completely as possible.

Importing Customers

With the Unit4 Multivers integration, you can import all customers from Unit4 Multivers by going to Settings -> Import. You can then view them under Contacts -> Customers.

The integration is based on the customer number field in TimeChimp, which must match the customer number in Unit4 Multivers.

There is also an option in Settings -> Unit4 Multivers to schedule an automatic nightly import for customer synchronization.

Alternatively, you can choose to create customers in TimeChimp first. When creating an invoice in Unit4 Multivers, the customer will be automatically created in Unit4 Multivers if it does not exist.

Creating Invoices

You can easily create an invoice in Unit4 Multivers for all hours, expenses, and trips recorded in TimeChimp. Go to Reports -> Hours, select the hours (or expenses/trips), and choose Actions -> Create Invoice in Unit4 Multivers.

You can also invoice your customers/projects in Unit4 Multivers from the Unbilled section in Reports. This can be useful for projects with subscription or fixed-price billing methods.

Creating Sales Entries

If you prefer to use the invoicing module in TimeChimp, create your invoice there and, after sending the invoice to the customer, create a sales entry in Unit4 Multivers.

You can do this from the 'Invoices' section (select the invoices) or from the individual invoice. Choose Actions -> Create Sales Entry in Unit4 Multivers.

Note that the invoice must be sent before this button becomes visible.
