This article explains how to use the shortcuts within TimeChimp.

Please note: You only see pages and actions for which you have permissions. For example, if your account does not have access to Invoicing, this option will not appear in the menu.

Command Menu

Easily call up the Command Menu using the shortcut Cmd + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows/Linux).

To exit the menu, simply use the same key combination again or press the Esc key to return directly to your current page.

What can you do with it?

Once the menu is open, you can immediately start typing to search. The menu contains three categories:

  • Navigation: Go directly to a page, such as Hours, Reports, or Settings.

  • Quick Add: Immediately create a new item, such as a time registration or project.

  • Help: Open the help articles at help.timechimp.com.

Click on an item (or use the arrow keys + Enter) to go to the page.

The menu will then close automatically.

Shortcuts Week View

Use these keys in the week view of the Hours section (provided no text field is selected):

  • N: Add a new line to the time registration (similar to clicking + Row).

  • Enter ↡: Save an open row form immediately.
